What is the NO FAKES Act?

The NO FAKES Act creates a federal right for every person to control their own voice and likeness. No one can use AI to create a replica of your face or voice without your permission. This bipartisan bill protects individuals, performers, and brands from unauthorized digital impersonation.

TAKE IT DOWN Act - Already Law

Signed into law on May 19, 2025, the TAKE IT DOWN Act criminalizes AI-generated nonconsensual intimate imagery. It requires social media platforms and websites to remove flagged deepfake content within 48 hours of notification, creating immediate protection for victims.
